April 21, 2010
Calgary, Alberta - April 21, 2010 – Each year, Print Audit® customers save an estimated 190,000 trees by using Print Audit 6 to significantly reduce their environmental impact and cut back on paper waste. This month, in recognition of Earth Day’s 40th Anniversary, the leading print managment company will celebrate their continued dedication to the environment by planting a tree for every tree their new customers will save this month with Print Audit’s solutions.
Through a partnership with non-profit conservation organization American Forests, Print Audit will donate funds to American Forests’ Global ReLeaf program based on how many trees new Print Audit customers will save in April. For each tree saved by using Print Audit’s products and services, the Calgary-based company will donate $1 to plant a new tree. On average, a company that installs Print Audit 6 onto 50 workstations in their office will save one tree per month. Print Audit expects to make a generous contribution to the Global ReLeaf’s mission to plant trees to restore damaged ecosystems across the United States and around the world.
Organizations can use Print Audit 6’s rules-based-printing features to encourage cost conscience and green-friendly printing behavior. For example, Print Audit 6 will allow organizations to utilize printing limits to notify users of the cost and environmental impact of their print jobs and to suggest more efficient alternatives. Additionally, Print Audit 6 includes the ability to decrease paper usage by encouraging users to print on both sides of the page.
American Forests is a world leader in planting trees for forest restoration, and their work encompasses calculating the value of urban forests, fostering environmental education, and improving public policy for trees at the national level.
One of North America’s oldest environmental organizations, American Forests’ ultimate goal is to create healthy ecosystems for every community. The organization’s Global ReLeaf program plants trees in both urban and rural areas and encourages individuals to plant trees around their homes and businesses. American Forests has a goal of 100 million trees planted by 2020.
